A Nightmare on elm street
Setting: The setting for a nightmare on elm street is in a secluded area out of the city on elm street in which we see various images such as burning buildings, party houses and factories all of which are very common typical conventions of horror films and will leave the audience in constant suspense due to the fact they know what generally happens in horror films with these type of settings.
Props: there are no weapons shown throughout the trailer only the claw of a villain which leaves the audience to believe that he is quite sinister in his evilness by not using generic weapens to kill his targets.
Costume: there is a wide range of costumes used throughout the trailer such as ordinary peoples cloths and raggedy old ones which the villain is wearing.this conforms to the traditional horror film stereotype because the villain does not care what he looks like only his intentions.
Sound: the trailer uses digetic sound at the beginning and slowly inter forms with non digetic sound to give the audience the element of suspense.
Repensetation: the trailer mostly shows weak men or girls in distress as a mysterious villain keeps appearing in every shot.
