Setting: The setting for the film is pro dominantly in Australia where the lads go back packing across however at the start of the trailer you see a very erary looking location;almost fantasy like harry potter but alternatively ends up being Will McKenzie's local university bar. As the trailer progresses the audience finds themselves watching various hi jinks the lads are doing in certain areas of Australia suggesting to them that they have gone a trip round the country coming a long distance from there home in England
Props: the props used was cars, boomerangs, weed and beer signifying the lifestyle the lads enjoy and endure in Australia
Costumes:the costumes used in the trailer was skimpy summer dresses and bikinis for girls and revealing short outfits for boys to show the audience what climate Australia has compared to england in the first part of the trailer when they are in warmer outfits
Sound:the non digetic sound was used to split the narrative and digetic sound up over the top of it.the digetic sound came from the beeping of car horns and general noises from the bush.
Representation:The trailer shows what activities older students undergo on gap years by showing hijinks's and camaraderie in the whole trailer to grip the audience to see more.the characters conform to the stereotype by being loud and sex pests
